Firefighters battle 'wilful fireraising' at disused college campus

Fire crews have tackled a blaze at a disused college campus in Dundee.

The former site of Dundee College on the city's Constitution Road was targeted by "wilful fireraisers" on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were confronted by flames which had spread across the fourth floor of the building.

Crew members moved to extinguish the blaze and it was promptly brought under control.

Officers from Police Scotland are investigating the incident as an act of "wilful fireraising".

Witnesses and anyone with relevant information is asked to contact detectives on the police non-emergency number 101 or to get in touch with the charity Crimestoppers, which provides a confidential tip-off hotline on 0800 555 1111.
